Albert Frederick Daniel was born in Beattyville, Kentucky. He attended college in Lebanon, Ohio and upon graduation, taught in the public school system there. In 1905, Mr. Daniel came to Jackson and two years later opened the Daniel Studio on Capitol Street. Mr. Daniel operated the studio until his death in 1935. Mrs. Elizabeth Marshall Daniel operated the studio from 1935 until the close of World War II in 1945. In 1945, Al Fred Daniel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert F. Daniel returned to Jackson and assisted his mother in the operation of the Daniel Studio until her retirement, around 1950. Mr. Daniel had served in World War II as a military pilot, first with the Royal Air Force of Great Britain and then with the United States Air Corps. Mr. Daniel operated the Daniel Studio, the Daniel Salon of Photography and Standard Photo until his retirement in 1987.
