William H. Pullen, Jr., was a partner in the Nugent and Pullen insurance agency. After the death of Nugent (ca. 1918), Pullen became sole owner of the agency. He also served as president of the Jackson public school board and president of the Kiwanis Club of Jackson. Pullen married Catherine Carson of Natchez in August of 1919. She was active in the Girl Scouts and the owner of thoroughbred horses. Her father owned the Dixiana Stud Farm in Lexington, Kentucky.
