There are a number of items apparently related to the World War I military service of William H. Pullen, Jr.: his orders; identification card; photographs; postcards; memorabilia; a pamphlet on grenade warfare; and maps of French operations. In addition, there is a herd book from the Dixiana Stud Farm recorded by Estelle Carson. There are occasional papers or publications of diverse clubs and organizations, including the Mississippi Poetry Society, the Matrons' Luncheon Club; the Kiwanis Club of Jackson; the Girl Scouts; and the American Kennel Club. Also included is a program from the University of Mississippi vs. Mississippi State University football game in 1947.

William H. Pullen, Jr., was a partner in the Nugent and Pullen insurance agency. After the death of Nugent (ca. 1918), Pullen became sole owner of the agency. He also served as president of the Jackson public school board and president of the Kiwanis Club of Jackson. Pullen married Catherine Carson of Natchez in August of 1919. She was active in the Girl Scouts and the owner of thoroughbred horses. Her father owned the Dixiana Stud Farm in Lexington, Kentucky.
